Scott Monarch is in his seventh season at Grayson College, reviving the program in 2018. He has over 30 years of coaching experience, from Junior College to the NCAA. 

During the 2020-21 season, his Grayson Viking team led the NJCAA Division 1 in scoring with 109.1 points and made field goals per game with 42.8.

A masterful recruiter, Coach Monarch recruited and coached current NBA players Jimmy Butler and Jae Crowder, and former NBA players Corey Brewer, Ruben Garces and Omar Thomas, the NJCAA All-Time leading scorer. 

Under his leadership, Monarch has produced several National Players of the Year and numerous all-conference accolades. He is the all-time wins leader at Panola College, and was the NJCAA Region 14 Coach of The Year in 2003.
