Cal Hernandez is in his third season at Grayson College, after working eight years as a coach and mentor for the Dallas Tigers Baseball Club. The Dallas Tigers Baseball Club is a non-profit organization that promotes baseball by allowing players to participate in tournaments alongside highly competitive baseball teams. The organization won 15 national championships, and 26 Tiger Alumni have been drafted to the major leagues.

In year two, the Vikings won 30 games, qualifying for the Regional Tournament after finishing third in the NTJCAC. 

In two seasons at the helm, eight players have earned All-Conference accolades, 18 have gone on to play at four year universities, and one drafted by the San Francisco Giants. 

In 2018, Hernandez was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 26th round and was assigned to the Tacoma Rainiers.

Hernandez played third base at Oral Roberts University for two seasons in 2017-2018. In 2018, he was named to the All-Summit League First Team after posting a .329 batting average with 34 RBI, while leading the conference in doubles. He was also named to the All-Summit League First Team in 2017, and ranked third in the league with 44 runs scored in his first season.

Hernandez also has junior college baseball experience, playing one season at Cisco College. In 2016, his team made an appearance at the NJCAA World Series. He prepped at Coppell High School, collecting Offensive Player of the Year, All-State Second Team and First Team All-District Honors.

He earned his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Sports Management from Oral Roberts University in 2018. His dad Tommy, is the Chairman of the Board and Founder of the Dallas Tigers Baseball Club.

Cal is married to Hailey Hernandez, and the two have a daughter.
