Jones named All-American

Kayla Jones is an NJCAA All-American.

An outstanding career has led to a plethora of honors for Kayla Jones.

Jones was named an Honorable Mention All-American selection, released recently by the NJCAA. 

She finished second in the NTJCAC and fifth in Region V averaging 17.0 points per game. She also averaged 8.3 rebounds and shot 54.5% from the field! All three categories led the team. 

In two seasons, Jones never missed a game. She was a starter in 59 out of a possible 61 games. She increased her scoring averages from 14.1 points her freshman year to 17.0 her sophomore season. She also increased her field goal and free throw percentages both seasons. Jones was an All-Conference selection in both years as a Viking. 
 
Jones will be taking her talents out west, commiting to play at Loyola Marymount University (LMU) in Los Angeles, CA. LMU is an NCAA D1 program, competing in the West Coast Conference (WCC)
 
She is Grayson Women's Basketball's first All-American selection in three years.
