
The Viking men rode a big second half to hand first place McLennan their second loss in conference play 79-63.
Grayson trailed early on in this one, falling behind 10-4, but clawed their way back and tied it at 10. The teams were tied at 15, when the Viking went on an 11-0 scoring run, capped by a pull up jumper from Nicholas Anthony. McLennan closed the gap, getting a buzzer beating three to cut the Viking lead to three at the half.
In the second half, Anthony and Terrance Ramirez took over scoring 33 of the Vikings 50 second half points. Anthony hit a three to open up a 14 point lead, and the Vikings secured a big win as they continue their for a Region V Tournament spot.
Anthony led the way with 23 points, while Ramirez had 18. Kevin Paul Jr had 10 points and nine rebounds, while Jordan Williams led the Vikings with six assists.
Grayson currently sits at 4-6 in the conference, a game back of Collin, Southwest Christian and Ranger who are all 5-6 currently.
Grayson travels to Weatherford in another big showdown on Wednesday! Tip-off is set for 7pm.
