
The Grayson Vikings continued rolling, riding a big first half en-route to a 108-52 victory over Dallas-College (DC) Brookhaven on Tuesday, Nov. 26 to close out their homestand.
The Vikings 63 point first half was their second highest point total in a half of the season (69 against Seminole State) while defensively, they held Brookhaven to 18 points in the first half, a season low.
From the game's first tip-off, the Vikings came out determined and on fire, jumping out very quickly to a 26-6, getting some hot three point shooting from Marcus Burnett and Josh Barlow.
The Vikings kept their foot on the gas, going on a 20-2 run, as they received contributions from all active players. Barlow, and Burnett continued scoring, while Jordan Williams had a pull-up three, Juwan Dawes connected on a three ball, Kevin Paul Jr and Croix Cox were dominant in the post, and Dareiyus Richard got to the basket, and the free throw line several times.
In the second half, the Vikings continued where they left off in the first half, as they cruised to victory.
All 10 active players scored in the victory with Barlow leading the way with 23 points. Cox put up a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds, Dawes just missed a double double with 10 points and nine rebounds off the bench.
As a team, the Vikings shot a season high 59 percent from the three point line, led by Barlow who finished 6-7 from deep.
