Seven Vikings selected for TX/NM All-Star Game

Seven Grayson Viking Baseball Players were selected to play in a JUCO All-Star Game on Sept. 20-21 at Dallas Baptist University.

Seven Grayson Viking Baseball players were selected to play in the Texas/New Mexico Junior College Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Game on September 20-21 at Dallas Baptist University. In order to be selected, players were either an All-Conference Selection last year or were voted on by the coaches in the conference. 
"I am very happy for all of these young men, and all they have accomplished so far at Grayson," Head Coach Cal Hernandez said. "I know they will continue to be great leaders, and I can't wait to see what our team accomplishes this year." 

-Grady Moore: A sophomore pitcher from Weatherford, TX, Moore appeared in 15 games last season for the Vikings making seven starts. He compiled a 5-2 record, recording one save and notching a complete game. He struck out 36 in 38.1 innings pitched.

-Brandon Seidmeyer: A sophomore outfielder from Magnolia, TX, Seidmeyer played in 50 games last season for the Vikings. He finished with a .303 batting average, with six home runs and 44 RBI. Additionally, Seidmeyer hit five triples, and stole four bases. 

-Kade Neuenschwander: A sophomore pitcher from Liberty Hill, TX, Neuenschwander made 10 starts for the Vikings last season. He finished with a 3-3 record, tossing three complete games. He threw 50.1 innings, and struck out 47, finishing with a 3.93 ERA. 

-Braydon Risley: A sophomore pitcher from Fort Worth, TX, Risley transferred to Grayson from Tarleton State University. As a freshman at Tarleton, Risley appeared in 17 games, making eight starts. He threw 55 innings, with 54 strikeouts.

-Clay Kemp: A sophomore pitcher from Harrison, AR, Kemp appeared in 12 games last season for the Vikings, making three starts. Kemp tossed 24.1 innings, striking out 18, and recording four saves out of the bullpen. 

-Chase Davis: A sophomore pitcher from Montgomery, TX, Davis was a Second Team All-Conference Selection last year for the Vikings. He appeared in 17 games last season, recording a 4-1 record with a 2.20 ERA. He notched one save, and had 36 strikeouts in 32.2 innings pitched. 

-Sloan Barrett: A sophomore infielder from Harrison, AR, Barrett was a First Team All-Conference and an All-Region Selection for the Vikings last year. Barrett appeared in 53 games last season, finishing with a .396 average, with one home run and 34 RBI. He recorded 21 stolen bases, 57 runs scored, and 72 hits, leading the team in all three categories.
