The Vikings closed out the regular season strong, sweeping Cisco, while Braydon Risley tossed a no-hitter in game three at Cisco.
Game one was a 6-2 victory. The game was scoreless until the bottom of the third. Kain Sanchez led off with a single, and scored on a double from Sloan Barrett. JT Cienega followed with a double of his own, and the Vikings led 2-0. Three batters later, Easton Paxton tripled to center, and. Brandon Seidmeyer homered on an 0-1 count (his third of the year) and the Vikings led 5-0. Seidmeyer added an RBI single in the fifth to help secure the win for Grayson.
Game two was a run rule 12-4 victory. After Cisco took a 1-0 lead in the first, the Vikings put up seven runs in the second inning. Brandon Seidmeyer led off with a single, and Brooks Dwinell sent his second homer of the season over the fence for a 2-1 lead. Chase Womack followed with a double, and moved to third on a single by Kain Sanchez. Sloan Barrett scored one on a sac fly,and two batters later, Brandon Creek sent a double to the gap in left center for two RBI and a 5-1 lead. Creek scored ona passed ball later in the inning, and Seidmeyer line an RBI single for a 7-1 lead. Cisco added runs in the second and third to cut the lead to 7-3, but the Viking offense continued producing runs.
JT Cienega worked a one out walk, and scored on a double from Brandon Creek to extend the lead to 8-3. Two batters later, Easton Paxton drove in a run with a single and a 9-3 lead. In the sixth inning, Brooks Dwinell led off with a double, and scored on an RBI single by Chase Womack. Three batters later, JT Cienega hit a run scoring single for an 11-3 lead. Brandon Creek was hit by a pitch, and Austin Godwin loaded the bases. Easton Paxton worked the bases loaded walk. The Vikings shut the door in the seventh for the run rule victory.
